Brownest Brown Rice Pudding

This is titled the way it is for three reasons:
1. This is indeed, brown rice pudding
2. This is rice pudding that is extra brown because I used too much cinnamon
3. My favorite color is brown

I looked over a recipe from Le Dolce Vegan and kind of made it my own.

Ingredients I used:
2 cups brown rice, already cooked from the other day
2.5 cups soy milk, vanilla flavored (aka, regular to me)
about 1/4 cup agave nectar
about 1.5 teaspoons vanilla
way too much cinnamon (possibly up to 2 teaspoons, maybe more knowing me)
1/2 cup raisins, organic

I threw all this in a pot and simmered it for about 25 minutes. I think it would have been ok at 15 minutes but this was my first time ever making rice pudding. We have some at work, but it's made with cow's milk and I have always wanted to try a soy kind. I think it's good, but a bit too sweet for me and for sure an overload on the cinnamon. I'll still eat some anyway, that is, until I cannot handle any more sweetness.

PS... Look Miriam, I used the macro mode in the first photo... (I think it's the flower, right?!?)

That looks really good! I've been meaning to try something like that for breakfast. I am also a cinnamon freak. I put about a teaspoon in my oatmeal. It's good stuff.

I think it looks better than it tastes. It is for sure a cinnamon overload, so I have really just been picking at the raisins and eating those!

Yay for the macro mode! Looks good. I need to post my mughle recipe, but am waiting for after the baby is born (because it's only appropriate to eat it in celebration of a birth!) I'm sure you'd love it - as it consists simply of brown rice flour, a sweetener, and tons of cinnamon and caraway. Yummmm.

Hi NingoStar, thanks for the great comment, and I'm glad you liked the tofu wraps. Hence the name, they're awesome! I tend to make better things when I just throw together what's in the house.

Hi Miriam. I forgot about the mughle, ooh, you get to have it soon! I thought you had posted photos right? Maybe I'm thinking of something else. Anyway, it won't be long before the mughle and E!!!
